A friend.

We had known each other since we met as students in 1972 at Merrist Wood. In  all that time I think we only went to one dart's weekend. We just had a great friendship. After being student's for a year we both joined the staff. You went on to have a great career at Merrist wood. I went back to agriculture. When you left the college and started up on your own, I was now working in construction and at weekends would work with you. One memorable job was one pruning trees outside Scotland yard in London. It was a nightmare. Badminton became a regular Friday evening for a couple of hours, we would then all retire to the White lyon at closing some of us would come back to my house. Listen to music talk and drink a bottle of malt. After 53 years of friendship we might not have had major memories,we still met up regularly for a drink shared our life's up and downs, put the world to rights.thank you for being a friend, I will miss you. Have a good journey and see you later on the other side.
